This illustration gets inspiration from a poem written
by a famous romanian poet, Mihai Eminescu.
The poem describes a beautiful girl,
her face is compared to a red apple, as the sun is warming her;
her hair is pure gold and the way she coils her hair around
her lover's neck let's him speechless.
Therefore, this stanza evokes me the picture of a typical romanian folk dancer
wearing a colorful costume and in so deep touch with nature
that you might confuse her with a flower.
As rosy as an apple's rind
Will be my cheeks burnt by the sun,
And my long golden hair undone
Around your neck in coils you'll wind.
